Student- centered learning is a pedagogy of instruction in which students take more ownership of their learning. This takes place when the teacher moves from being in control to the student having more control over his/her own learning. This is accomplished through a variety of means and methods. Students have more choice, more opportunity to create and collaborate, a variety of content acquisition options, and even a different classroom design. Bye bye desks in rows, long lectures, and unrelenting worksheets. Hello, podcasts, YouTube videos, slideshows, project-based learning, choice, assessment options, and collaboration. Instead of a one size fits all approach, student-centered learning offers the opportunity to meet the needs of all leatners.
